Some comments about our work…

 Lisa has worked closely with the Heads of Faculty to drive curriculum and pedagogical change. Lisa is a systems thinker and creatively designed and developed a Curriculum Planning tool for our school. The tool maps and tracks curriculum and instruction, bringing about accountability and transparency of planned practice. The tool has encouraged professional learning conversations around our whole school approach to our pedagogy. 

 Lisa’s achievements have been nothing short of inspiration. Her coaching method (cajoling, encouragement) and high expectations have now resulted in a school that has a full curriculum from Years 5 – 10 operating in a common pedagogical framework. Lisa has engage staff who were originally wary of the benefits of the structure, to these same staff collaborating and writing their own units.

 Lisa has many gifts. She is highly organised, always meets time deadlines and is most knowledgeable. She is a natural leader and above all has an empathy and understanding of staff. She has a wonderful sense of fun and humour.  (Julie Quinn, Dean of Studies, St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace)

 Lisa worked with our staff over a two year period to implement a whole school pedagogical framework (Dimensions of Learning) and to coach staff to write the new Australian Curriculum units of work using the framework.  My staff found Lisa to an exceptional knowledge of all curriculum areas that allowed her to lead them through this challenging process; one of Lisa’s great strengths in this is that she does not do the writing for the staff but rather effectively coaches them to develop their own skills and confidence.  I have found her modelling of this process to our curriculum middle leaders to be very effective in further developing their leadership skills also.  (Cathy O’Kane, Deputy Principal – Studies.
