A great way to allow teachers to professionally learn together is through the structure of “Learning Teams.”
These small learning communities of teachers who work together with the same cohort of students are an effective way to share expertise, explore learning goals, access feedback and collect qualitative and quantitative data, providing evidence of student improvement.
The use of learnings teams to professionally grow teacher capacity creates opportunities to enact system-wide changes in school curriculum and pedagogy. Learning teams, effectively established with protocols and parameters, reduce teacher isolation, increasing professional dialogue and sharing of ideas and resources.
CPD 4 Teachers supports school, leaders and teachers in setting up a successful professional learning community using “Learning Teams.”
