The start of the new school year is the perfect time to introduce a coaching and mentoring program that will support and guide the graduate and early years teachers in your school.
It’s important to hit the ground running and invest in your newest asset. Quality teachers in every classroom do not happen by chance. It’s a result of schools fostering an environment where teachers can learn as they grow with career coaching. Graduate teachers need support to make sure they can plan and implement the appropriate strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
Through our Good to Great Program we offer in-school training and coaching to beginning and early years teachers. This course will enable participants to:
- Build student rapport and implement effective classroom management techniques
- Gain a comprehensive knowledge of syllabus;
- Learn evidence-based instructional strategies;
- Apply ‘backward design’ principles for writing curriculum programs; and
- Develop a range of formative feedback strategies;
The Good to Great Program is customised to align with each school’s improvement plan. We work with school leaders to combine reflective practice, goal setting and feedback to support a teacher’s Individual Development Plan and teacher registration.

“Setting two targeted goals per term allowed me to practice, revise and reflect on my specific teaching strategies of feedback and summarising. I loved sharing my ideas with colleagues and enjoyed having feedback provided to me by Lisa and my Curriculum Leader. Using Swivl to video my practice was fun too.” Mt Maria College – Mitchelton
