Mentoring in MINDSET and MOTIVATION
One of the greatest factors in change and growth is the quality of feedback. Effective feedback needs to be accurate, consistent and quick, and must be preceded by self-evaluation.
How effective are my questions in driving curiosity?
How can I differentiate learning activities to maximise engagement for every student?
Mentors provide opportunities for copying (the meta-skill of skill development) and to examine effective strategies that directly impact student learning and engagement. Having multiple teachers involved in a mentorship program allows them to come together to share their learning experiences with each another, and with the staff at large – under the guidance of the mentor.
